Clementine Cottage is a peaceful, character-filled garden cottage with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Inside, a compact, cheerful kitchen sits alongside a comfortable lounge and dining area, with classic finishes and playful details throughout. Outside, the large patio offers alfresco dining and sun loungers overlooking the garden, with sweeping views towards the lagoon, bay, ocean and mountains. A relaxed Plett stay filled with warmth, personality and timeless appeal.

The space

Clementine Cottage is a delightful self-catering garden cottage set within an established property in Plettenberg Bay’s elevated Cutty Sark area. Filled with natural light and gentle character, its soft white interiors are warmed by terracotta-toned floors, sunny yellow details, fresh green accents, graceful arches and decorative cornices. Cheerful rather than contemporary, the cottage has a wonderfully nostalgic personality that makes it feel instantly welcoming.

The cottage accommodates up to four guests across two bedrooms, each with its own full en-suite bathroom.

Please note that the beds remain two individual single mattresses placed side by side rather than one standard double bed.

Both bathrooms are charming features in their own right, with distinctive green-and-white checkerboard floors and colourful yellow detailing. Each en-suite includes a bathtub, separate shower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail, giving every bedroom the convenience of a private, fully appointed bathroom.

At the heart of the cottage is a bright and comfortable living area where the lounge and dining space flow naturally together. Soft furnishings, floral touches and collected décor give the room a relaxed, lived-in warmth, while the dining table comfortably seats four. French doors open the interior towards the patio and garden, allowing fresh air and sunlight to move through the cottage.

Although compact, the kitchen is thoughtfully stocked for easy self-catering. It includes a stove, bar fridge, crockery, cutlery, knives, chopping boards, bowls, pots, pans and the everyday essentials needed to prepare and enjoy meals at home. While there is no full-sized refrigerator, the bar fridge is suitable for keeping a smaller selection of groceries and drinks during your stay.

Outside, the large covered patio is made for slow holiday mornings and unhurried afternoons. Enjoy breakfast around the outdoor table, settle into a sun lounger with a book, or simply take in the peaceful garden surroundings. Beyond the greenery, beautiful distant views unfold towards the lagoon, bay, ocean and surrounding mountains.

Clementine Cottage is a separate guest unit situated on the same larger property as the main house. It offers a warm and character-filled base from which to enjoy Plettenberg Bay, with comfortable living spaces, two private en-suite bedrooms and an inviting connection to the garden and scenery beyond.

Please note that the fireplace in the lounge is strictly off-limits and may not be used, as lighting it could damage the surrounding flooring.

Clementine Cottage is a separate guest unit situated on the same property as the main house. The main house is private and is not included in guest access.

Please note that the lounge fireplace is strictly off-limits and may not be used.

Complimentary tea, coffee and sugar are provided.

A starter supply of toilet paper and hand soap is provided on arrival. Guests should bring or purchase additional supplies if required during their stay.

The kitchen has a bar fridge rather than a full-sized refrigerator.

Each bedroom contains two individual single beds placed together rather than one standard double bed.

Please note that there is no braai facility at the cottage. This is to prevent smoke, heat, and soot damage to the covered patio ceiling and surrounding finishes. Thank you for understanding and helping us protect the property.
