The space

Blending modern, Asian-inspired design with natural textures and a tranquil garden setting, La-Zen offers a peaceful coastal escape overlooking Plettenberg Bay. Warm timber finishes, thoughtful decorative details and inviting outdoor spaces create an atmosphere of comfort, character and relaxation.

The experience begins in a delightful entrance courtyard, where lush greenery, decorative hanging birdcages and a cosy seating area create a welcoming first impression. An outdoor shower adds to the relaxed, coastal atmosphere before stepping inside the studio.

The open-plan interior is thoughtfully arranged for comfort and convenience. A well-equipped kitchenette features an air fryer, electric skillet, microwave, espresso machine and coffee plunger, ideal for preparing light meals and enjoying a leisurely morning coffee. Opposite, the spacious bathroom area features a beautiful freestanding clawfoot bath, walk-in shower, double vanity and storage.

The sleeping area features two single beds positioned side by side beneath a charming canopy, surrounded by soft curtains that create a cosy, intimate retreat. An additional curtain between the beds provides optional privacy for travelling companions. A comfortable little TV corner and fold-out dining table for two complete the living space.

Beyond the studio, outdoor living takes centre stage. A beautiful wooden patio offers several inviting places to unwind, from a sheltered daybed to wooden swings suspended beneath the pergola. A small ornamental pond nestled within a pebble courtyard, surrounded by lush planting and natural stone, brings a peaceful, Zen-inspired touch to the space. Alongside the apartment, a private garden with natural stone, lush greenery and decorative sculptures offers another tranquil retreat. Additional seating, a private BBQ area and outdoor dining spaces invite guests to slow down and enjoy the garden surroundings, with sweeping views across Plettenberg Bay, the ocean and distant mountains.

The gardens extend towards a shared lawn, while the apartment's private outdoor spaces remain clearly defined. With its own entrance and secure parking, the apartment offers a sense of privacy while forming part of a property with two other independent units.

Guest access

The apartment is entirely private for your exclusive use during your stay, including its own entrance, courtyard, BBQ, patio and garden. While the property hosts a two other independent apartments, all guest areas are fully separate. The only shared spaces are the front yard and secure on-site parking. Guests are welcome to relax, unwind, and enjoy the views and outdoor spaces at their own pace.
